QR code pricing questions
How much does a QR code cost?
Nothing, for a static QR code. Static codes are free, unlimited and never expire. Paid plans start at £4.99 per month and add dynamic QR codes — editable destinations, scan analytics and custom branding.
Do free QR codes expire?
No. A static QR code stores its data inside the pattern itself, so there is nothing to expire and no server involved in scanning it. It keeps working for as long as the destination it points to exists.
What is the difference between a free and a paid QR code?
A free static code is permanent: whatever you encode is fixed for good. A paid dynamic code points at a short address you control, so you can change where it leads at any time, and every code records how many times it has been scanned.
Do you charge per scan?
No. Every plan includes a monthly scan allowance and we do not bill per scan. If you exceed the allowance, get in touch and we will help you move to the right plan.
Which plan do I need for a restaurant menu or a shop sign?
If the destination will never change, the free plan is genuinely enough. If the menu, price list or booking link changes with the seasons, you want a plan with dynamic QR codes so you can edit the destination instead of reprinting every table tent and sign.
